Five-Up domino

Five-Up domino is a classic game that originated in the United States over 50 years ago. It is a variation of the Fives family of domino games. It was invented by Dominic C. Armanino, who made the game very popular in the Southwestern United States. The game is played with four or more players. Players score points when they add up the tiles that add up to five.

Draw game

Draw game is a variant of the traditional domino game. The player with the lowest score after three rounds wins. To win, a player must horde dominos of low value and prevent his opponents from playing dominos of equal value. In addition, the player must be the first to play a domino. If that player fails to do so, he will lose his hand, and the player to his left will play a domino that matches the exposed end of the first domino.

Double-6

Double-6 dominoes are one of the most basic forms of dominoes. They are played with two players using a set of double six dominoes. In a game of double six dominoes, each player draws seven tiles from a stock. The tiles are typically placed on the table edge so that players can see the value of their own tiles, as well as their opponents’. Another variant of the game is called Five-Up, which is played with multicolored tiles. In addition, doubles are used as spinners, allowing players to branch from one pile to another.

All Fives

Muggins or All Fives in domino is a game for two to four players that can be played with commonly available domino sets. John McLeod calls it a great two player game.

Inventor

There are many theories about who invented the domino. Some believe that the Chinese laborer Hung Ming invented it. Another popular legend has the Chinese doctor Keung t’ai Kung as the inventor. Regardless of who invented the domino, it is one of the most popular games in the world.

Variations

There are a number of variations of the classic domino game. While the basic game requires two players to extend a line of playing tiles, the variations vary in strategy and layout. For example, some have a limited number of tiles on each side, while others have curved edges. In each variation, players must try to create a circle with three or more tiles of the same color. The first player to do so wins.

Spinners

Spinners in domino games are doubles that may be added to the layout as an alternative to dominoes. A spinner has several ways to score. It can change the direction of a run, add additional runs in opposite directions, or simply maintain a current run. The spinner is a versatile accessory and a must-have for any serious domino player.
