The Basics of Roullete

Roullete

Roulette is one of the casino’s most popular games, offering glamour, mystery and excitement to players. Essentially a game of chance, Roulette requires players to predict which slot the ball will fall into after the wheel has stopped spinning. Simple to understand, Roulette offers a surprising level of depth for serious bettors, as the right strategy can yield high returns.

The first step in the game of Roullete is to determine which bet you want to make. There are 10 types of bets in roulette, with each paying out different amounts of money based on the odds of hitting them. The highest return to stake is found with the single number bet, which can pay up to 35x your initial wager.

Each player gets a set of roulette chips, which are different from normal casino chips. This is to allow each player to easily differentiate their own chips from the others on the table. Roulette is a game of luck, but you can increase your chances by placing your bets on the outside of the table, rather than within the numbers.

The Roulette wheel consists of a solid wooden disk, slightly convex in shape. Around the edge are thirty-six compartments, painted alternately red and black. A separate compartment, painted green, carries the number 0. Two more green compartments are on American wheels, marked with signs 0 and 00. During play, the Roulette wheel is spun by the dealer, and when the ball settles in one of the pockets, the dealer announces the winning bet, collects losing bets and pays out winners. The losing bets are then removed from the table and are added to the casino’s income.
