The HKHS team, consisting of eight girls and two coaches, defeated Japan in the final match on 23 November, thus clinching the highest placing ever for the HKHS women’s fencing team at the Asian Games. The HKIA 2024 aims to recognise outstanding research conducted by young Fellows of the Academy. Submissions will be assessed by a jury panel of experts from various fields and the winning paper will receive an engraved gold medal. The application deadline is 31 August 2024.
The 2023 Hang Lung Mathematics Awards (HLMA) was held recently with the Hon John KC Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, delivering the opening remarks via video conference. This year, Kyan Cheung Ka-hin and Ethan Soh Jon-yi from Harrow International School Hong Kong won the Gold Award for their research report titled “On the Properties of the Semigroup Generated by the RL Fractional Integral”.
